hey i wana know more abt police...anyway there's an inspector course equivalent to the SAF OCS course rite? how to get into this course ah? does it require a degree to get selected for inspector course in police NS or a diploma wil do? hope to get lots of response...

OCTs are taken mainly from leadership batches in Tekong. Occasionally, they will pick 1 or 2 from the police direct intake guys (but dun bet on it).
Majority of NS senior officers (equivalent of an army officers) will be post to do staff duty after commissioning.
No, u dun need a degree to get selected. Majority of the OCTs are just diploma or Alevel grads but unfortunately they cannot sign on police as a senior officer. Strange as it seems, regular senior officers in the SPF must have a degree unless he or she was promoted from the junior officer's rank.
To side track, i came to know a SAF Ns officer signing on police as a SGT because he is a diploma holder. I saluted him for his love for police work.

huh? but the rank of inspector is already classified under senior officer ranks leh. wun it be contradictory for them to commission you as a inspector and promote you thereon as a station inspector instead of assistant superintendent? But the chances of getting selected from tekong to SPF also very rare coz most of them will be selected to go OCS rite?

to be a senior officer
u must have a degree
to be a junior officer
u must have at least an o level/n level(corporal)
A level or diploma (Sergeant.
NS inspectors can sign on to the police force and retain their rank as Inspector provided that they confirm are going for their degree course( this is the period between their ORD and their enlistment date for their degree course).
This is provided you are a Inspector and is accepted to the regular scheme..
to TS. it is not contradicting, reason being, if u dun fit the qualitfication needed, then u cant qualify for that post.
