anyone did cookhouse duty manning the POS?
if the number of people scan for meal exceed the ration indentment by 1 or 2, is it all right?
and what is blank units? i was trying to out ration but i took a long time to respond, the POS machine just timed out
Must stress rule first....All ration indentment must be indented according to actual eating strength,no more no less.Any changes that has to be made should be done 3 days in advance through a ration indentment admendment form(The chart).
But in reality, exceeding the indented strength is usually not a problem as long as it is not by a large amount like 20 or so.Even if exceeded by large amount, the cook house messing warrant will ask the CQMS(I assume you from Company line) to submit an admendment form on the day itself before BOS closes the POS.
If the number of people who scan is lesser than the number indented,CONFIRM will have problem. Most of this usually result in 1206 or the people who never scan to be punished with duties.
Overeating alright to certain extent, undereating is not tolerated due to policy on wastage,SAF don't pay for meals indented but not eaten.Cookhouse staff pay suffer because of this.
With regards to blank units,I'm not sure what they are, sorry=(
Blank Units means if you scan/out-ration at the POS machine but delay in keying-in your unit, the POS machine will jump back to the original page and whatever quantity you have keyed or scanned in will be under Blank Unit.
If your Ration IC/ Messing Warrant checks for wastages, there may seem to be a wastage due to the above. However, if he is alert and 'zhai' enough, he will see that the wastage quantity is similar to the quantity under Blank Unit. He can check the system for the parent unit for the quantity keyed under Blank Unit and see if they belong to your unit.
Being a Ration IC, especially if you're under an active unit, is certainly no joke.
