Tarnished OCS Sword Polish

  its been 6 years, and my ocs sword is getting tarnished year by year of the brass coating. Finally i decided to do something about it and use autosol. in the beginning it seems to work after testing on a small area. After awhile i realize as more i rub off the coating, it will also rub off the brass colour.
  
  anyway knows how i can replate the brass coat of the sword? or shld i just heck it and get another from OCS and put it in a moist free cabinet?
  
  pls help.. need to use it for a friend's wedding ceremony.

  besides Autosol, there is Brasso.

  but just out of curiosity...is there any rule saying that any rework on the sword = defacing it?

  in this case anyone know of any brass replating service around? definitely not gold as me is a lowly paid officer working in the private world. :P

  are NSman officers allowed to do sword bearer for military wedding?

  as far as i know. unless the wedding happen during your reservist period. you cannot do sword bearer duties.

  the same goes for why NSman officers cannot have military wedding.

  any comments?

  autosol n brasso r very abrasive polishers. highly never recommended for items which are plated.

  Rubbish,

  I was the only NS sword bearer for my buddy's wedding, slot in with junior officers under his charge.

  have. handled such a case before. this nsman is an offr and damn siao on, wanted a military wedding. wrote in to my office for help. he got the help in the end.
