HI all! I applied for the position of UAV and everything's going fine. Went for my interview (think i passed) and the only thing left is my napfa test. The RSAF told me that as long as I don't mind giving up my Malaysian citizenship, I can sign on. I don't mind but I've checked with the ICA, I can't apply for Singapore citizenship cos I need to work for at least a year in Singapore. WTH man! I'm in my last sem in NTU, obviously I haven worked for a year.
Does anybody knows if the RSAF will do anything to help with the citizenship thingy?
Oh btw, I'm a she and I'm born in Spore. The only reason why I'm not a sporean is cos my parents are PRs and are still holding on to their malaysian citizenship.
Really? I tot if u born in sg than ur citizenzhip is sg, not looking at ur parents citizenship
Singapore is not like the USA.If your parents are PR den you PR lor!
i think the RSAf prefer singapore citizens.
cos even those NSF RP dog handlers who prowl the air bases need to be citizens. well that was my time, not sure about now.
During my time there were a lot of PR from Malaysia who signed on and some PR who had to do NS to get their citizenship but in the case of the TS she is a women so she cant use NS as a cover get to the RSAF.
