let's say if a driver kena charged for speeding, what's the likely punishement he'll receive? will kena thrown into DB or not, how many days?
-i remember some time ago there was this case of :
- 2x 5 tonners + 1 land rover were speeding on the expressway....hogging traffic....just nice kena caught by the sgtmaj of an armour unit...dunno wat happened to them

if it ish internal traffic offence den punishment ish fine/SOL/demerit points nia. however if u ish problem kia in unit, oso can throw u in DB de. see if yr superiors wan fight 4 yr case nia.
A SAF vehicle should not even be speeding in the first place due to their speed limiters or internally programmed speed limit for the newer vehicles. If a vehicle is really caught speeding, the charge might not be just on speeding alone but also tempering with the SWD, not reporting vehicles that are faulty SWD/programming etc and if the vehicle has just completed its UQM, the maintainance unit might be involved for not checking on the vehicle's speed.
It depends alot on whether there was any accident involve or anything that happened to the speeding vehicle and how big an issue the officers want to make it. Drivers are often on the receiving end of such stuff sometimes not totally due to their fault but nevertheless, double digit SOL is a very common thing for drivers or DB which they like to call driver barrack due to their frequent visits.
got GPS liao ar??
wah,my unit until i ORD still no GPS wans ~~~
Also now once the tonner speed reaches 50km/h it'll not allow you to accelerate any further...no matter how hard you step the accelerator
that is true. it's been tried and tested

speed limiter... fitted to all heavy vehicles i.e. SBS buses (for SBS buses speed limit is 60kph)
SWD is fitted on light goods vehicle (similar or slightly bigger than Land Rovers) w/ 70kph limit (by 65kph will start to buzz)
sitting in Land rover Ambulance being pushed to 90++ KPH is very exciting, partly because u are afraid the whole damn thing will just fall apart en route to hospital, and partly due to someone who might just flatline right infront of you and ur kan chiong MO
careful TP or MP catch
V comm will get it more

OT: B9TL's shouldnt have limiters! =)

must have... 60kph is considered ok alrdy
anyway if bus is packed unless on eway, staying at 40 - 50kph is safer for braking

you got a point there.
but i think sbst shouldnt limit the acceleration of those poor accelerators.
most VO3X's cant accelerate well, some take forever to hit 40kmh.
VSO not really, altho its pickup is weak, but it easily hits 40kmh.
hokay. we getting a bit offtopic here~

I heard rumors that all sv 168 buses go above 75km/h. Is that possible?
its rumors. no one's sure until we've all seen it.
anyway, we are getting very off topic here.
since when did the MID operate service 168?

Haha, I was in the midst of that convoy. All three vehicles try to race each other, taking up all 3 lanes on an expressway, then they realise the 5-tons' speed limiter can't go more than 60km/h, so can't overtake, neither does the land rover dare to break the SVD, so all 3 drivers became idiots, can't slow down, can't change lane, can't overtake.
v comms were officers, kena scolded jialat jialat by the RSM who stopped them, nobody got charged, but they kena alot of other things.
