THANKS!
If I may ask..... why don't you want to disrupt your NS and become an MO?
And also.... why do you want to be a commando officer?
MO and CDO officer......very big difference.
You can't just "become" a CDO officer like that even if you qualify for OCS.You got to go through CDO course first and that's not easy.
Yah I like to know why also.....if you want to be a MO in CDO u still must pass the CDO course as well.
At this stage, I assume that you have already been accepted to OCS? If so, you'd better make your choice quickly-- medicine or the SAF. I haven't heard of NUS Med allowing entry to be deferred in lieu of completing your NS, this is because male med students are expected to do their NS as MOs-- this is where we get the majority of our MOs.
You can, however, choose to do medicine under the SAF LSA Medical Scholarship, in which case you can get your medical degree then go work for the SAF. With the active role that the SAF is taking in regional and global natural disaster response and such, you will find that your skills will be used more than a non-military doctor; besides, good regular doctors in the SAF are pretty highly prized.
Please do PM or email me if you want more info about either SAF, medicine or the SAF medical scholarship-- I happen to know abit about it because I almost took it up myself ;)
