SAF sends relief packages to China
The Singapore Armed Forces or SAF, is donating more than one hundred thousand dollars worth of humanitarian assistance and disaster relief packages to Chengdu.
This is to support the Chinese government's earthquake relief efforts.
In its statement, SAF says two full-loads of C-130 aircraft transported about 10 tonnes of relief packages, consisting of blankets, groundsheets, tents and medical supplies.
The aircraft left the Paya Lebar Air Base at 9am today and are expected to arrive in China at 4pm.
