I see you have 2 options: Do the shoot or take MC at private clinic. Don't simply absent yourself just because you have leave applied. It's likely your superior has cancelled your leave and submitted your name for the shoot. If you simply don't turn up, it's awol and they can easily begin martial court proceedings against you. Then they have more than ample reason to stop you from collecting your IC.
If it really kills you to go for the shoot, take MC and submit when you collect your IC. No harm done to anyone, and your superior can't do anything about it. Leave is an entitlement, but it's given on SAF terms.
