wats the 'HK'? Hello Kitty?
HK = High Key;
LK = Low Key
anyone has experience?
I did Crescendo for my ATEC.
Extremely hot during the afternoon (up to 43 degrees), and the nights can drop to 16 degrees.
However, the air is very dry, and your sweat dries up quite quickly when you stop to rest.
And as a bonus..... lots of ninja vans throughout. Make sure to bring Thai baht along with you during navigation exercise.
I was at Sai Yok camp in 2001 as ATEC umpire. The weather really kills ... I think the troops are fighting the heat more than the enemies.

I wouldn't complain about the heat per se.... it was the temperature gradient that got to me.
I went in Feb 2004.... the temperature went from about 43 degrees at about 3pm to 16 degrees just a few hours later after the sun set. It was this sudden drop of nearly 30 degrees Celsius within a few hours that was really unsettling.
Otherwise, the air was dry and a lot less humid than anything you can get in Singapore.
And at night..... you can see it as fighting in an air-conditioned environment.
Give me Kanchanaburi over Lim Chu Kang anytime, man.

21days!!! How am I going to go thru my boring days!? Lolz.....
Cresendo got river crossing mehz?
Hmm.... I didn't do river crossing there.
Though I guess they might have introduced it since.
Or different units may do different things there.
When I was in Sai Yok camp in end March 2001. the temperature daily was 42degC at 11am. Between 1-4pm, the temperature rised till almost 45degC. Buay tahan, one day can finished 6 bottles of those 1 litre mineral water bought from the canteen and managed to pee no more than times a day as the body fluid dehydrated.
While in camp doing nothing for the 1st 5-6 days as I'm umpire, everyone can shower at least 5 times. However, the temperature at night did not drop much, still the same kind of weather as in SGP.
But it was quite a memorable trip esp those mobile canteen and children carrying bags of cold drinks to sell while the troops were flanking up the knoll.

Not much temperature drop at night? I was really shivering very, very badly out in the open leh! I still have a photo of myself shivering in my Goretex jacket while crouching over a small fire at about 5 am in the morning.
But then again.... I guess maybe I was there at a different time of the year.
sounds like a good trip not to miss ya?
