SINGAPORE: Second Defence Minister Ng Eng Hen launched the latest addition to the Singapore Armed Forces’ range of training simulators on Friday.
The Infantry Gunnery and Tactical Simulator consist of a Commander Tactical Trainer and a Support Weapons Simulator.
The Commander Tactical Trainer allows commanders to practise battlefield planning, coordination and execution before an actual field exercise.
It allows for different levels of training with insertions like 'enemy’ forces and other real—time battlefield developments.
The Support Weapons Simulator is used by soldiers to acquire and hone their gunnery skills.
The simulator has been used since the beginning of this year, and about 14,000 are expected to use it every year for training. — CNA/vm
It is a simulator. Gunnery is a redundant word. There are many things to learn from the yanks. Their love of bullshit is not one of them.
LOL, well said friend. It doesnt matter anyway in the way the thing is named, its all in good manner of sounding cool. I mean, must it all be abbreviated and captailised? I think not, but thats the way these guys like it.
Personally they should just go play Battlefield 2, so much more fun.
let's pray the simulated scenes are the same in a real battle btw...do they need credits?
