Hi, what's your qualification like?
For WSO(C3), you need to have at least a Diploma + attaining the WSO(C3) standard in your compass test which is second only to pilot and WSO(Fighter).
im a diploma holder.
i cleared all the medical status. now pending to sign the contract. (AOSS i applied last yr july now then fully clear wait for sign contract.)
so if i wan sign on c3 wat if i fail the compass test and now where go time to apply c3. if now apply is it everything will need to restart again. interview , test , medical... like that take how long?

via sispec or sign on.
sispec is when you are damn heng enough to get in, because every batch there's only around 10 NSFs who can get into it.
are u sure theres air crew spec for nsfs?
Galaxy,
I am a AOS NS Men 35 yrs old and going to get my MR status soon!! so happy, No more IPPT, No more RT, no more Recall etc :)
AOS was upgraded to AOSS in 1998. AOSS's job depends on where u are posted to.
Airbases, HQ RSAF, Air Defence etc.
If Dip holder can only join AOSS, very difficult to get C3 cos now almost all C3 is Degree holder.
AOSS i heard when i ICT is now 10yrs contract. About 10% of cohort maybe, will get to extend their contract. If u want to know more about AOSS, PM me.
Wish you a rewarding career.

and if my unit close down?
I am not so sure about that. Depends on whether CDO will want to release you.
But there's one fact I know, if you are needed for pilot course, nothing in the SAF can stop you, not even CDO or NDU.
Be surprised, be very surprised.
Senior tech is a technician, someone who repairs the aircraft and their components.
AEO will be posted to ALG which services and repairs aircrafts..
Anyone from ADA???
Must go for compass test or compute test???
must go through SISPEC or they have their own section leader training???
hey i'm due for interview on next friday for pilot selection test. i've passed my compass test.. for me its quite straightforward, i liked military as a career and being part of air force is my dream, as any vocation is fine for me. I am very keen of being a WSO but can I know in detail the trainings? Also, i haf pretty decent results in my A levels, should i proceed to pursue my degree first or sign on now? What's the main difference? I'll be pleased if someone were to answer my qns!

U can sign on now, but if u become pilot, u cannot go uni till quite late, like when ur 26 yr old or so. U can sign on other vocation and they will also sponsor ur uni under LSA scheme, but other vocations can go uni much earlier.
I assume u are April JC batch? Cos if u are, they schedule u for interview quite early. For me, they told me to call them back only after I get into OCS. Maybe cos my A Levels are horrendous haha.
Just noe that the pilot bond is 10 yrs excluding trng (abt 2.5 yrs), while other vocations are like 4 yr bonds or sthg. I'm not very sure if its 4 or 6 or what. If u want to study engineering in uni, u can sign on AEO.
Would like to consult sgFish.
with regards to details on Air Force Pilot Interview.
So as to get myself prepared for my interview.
I've this question: does the RSAF investigate UFOs?
