Kena Charged for IPPT/ RT: How? Fine $, Right? $50 to $300?

  Hi guys , i ord-ed 1 year ago , and my bday is coming REAL SOON . However i haven't even book my ippt yet . Is it possible i can juz ignore it so they can treat it as FAILED for me ? there is no chance i can pass the ippt , so i dont wish to waste my time booking it or even make a trip down. In this case , will they charge me for it ? or juz issue a warning letter ?

  They can charge you. I almost got charged but I was overseas and MINDEF didnt know coz I was not on exit permit, only give notice. Come back no choice and take. I failed it and had to do RT.

  Just take it then do the RT. Its better than getting charged. Doesnt matter you pass or fail, the important thing is you must take it.

  yes, charge for not booking, and eventually made to book RT/IPT.

  Monetary  fine is minor if you have the cash to splurge.

   

  I have seen NSmen getting sent to DB after defaulting IPPT/RT for about 3 or 4 times.

   

  Don't mess  around with it.

  I don't think so.You need to at least have made an attempt.

   

  Even if you were able to do that,you still have to go RT and you can't just "declare" that you "failed" RT.

  yes they can charge u... if u can open an acct in sgf sure got time to book ippt? no point get urself in trouble...

  no confirmed plus guarantee... how i know?? cos i try it b4 what.. i was sick for 1whole mth.. then my bday coming so die die have to pass it b4 that... but... how to pass after 1 mth sick... so i ask them if i can just book RT directly.. then they told mi cannot... must go book and fail.. if not they will charge mi... KNN...

  U just go for the ippt lor even if you fail... better than pay 50 bucks..

  Jus do the first station then chao geng... for example if u go to Khatib fcc for ippt.. the first station is shuttle run.. so u after running fall out say twisted knee then go and check out tell the clerk there u fall out and fail the ippt... then u go bath and go home.. However u must go for RT which last for 2 months.. for the first 4 weeks u have to go twice (one wkday one wkend) and the next 4 weeks (2wkdays 1 wkend).

  never book = no attempt = charge(fine) + troublesome appearance in no. 4 for court marshall..

  book = pass/fail = attempted and not liable for above.

  fail = never rebook or anything = RT.

  pass = average singaporean, nothing will happen..

  Just take note that it will not always be  a fine,most cases will end up with DB as the penalty by strike 3 or 4.

  like a lot before me have said...go make the IPPT booking and appear there.

  U are not the first one with this problem and U wouldnt be the last one...if MINDEF lets U go...then a lot of people will follow...then the IPPT system will fail...with computers keeping track of who have taken the IPPTs and etc...not likely U will fall under the radar...

   

  nowadays even if U forget to inform MINDEF before leaving SG for more than 24hrs...U get a reminder letter in the mail liao...U do it a few more times...they make U pay for their paper...

  You get service pay for RT.

  Not a lot, ($11/session for combat 3SG, for example), but it's something.

  That's true, but either they pay us or not, we still have to do RT. I did my own training before my IPPT but not enough so fail ler. After that 2 months RT I passed all the stations expect 2.4km. Failed by 7 secs , if not I would have gotten the 100 bucks incentive.

  My window closes next April so hopefully with my own training can get the incentive
