oh thanx for the info...
I went today. The aerial display quite interesting, but no Black Knights so dont get your hopes up. Its more of a showcase of how the rsaf works with the land forces rather than a pure aerial power display. Still pretty interesting though. The static display obviously consists of purely rsaf aircraft only unlike the Singapore Airshow, but then there's some new uavs there if ur interested.
Lucky I went early in the morning. Not much crowd, and good weather. Maybe too good, I got sunburn... haha. Afternoon rained, so I pity those who went later. Be sure to check out either Hangar 1 or Hangar 2 for the Night Vision experience thingy. Very nice.
The Boeing Simulator was fun ... but i still cannot grasp that why the missile streaks appears on top of me instead of beside me... The missiles will fly upwards when launched???
Managed to catch the Apache Arming Display, they did it in like close to 5 mins, but they only armed 2 Hellfire on each side instead of 4 ... looks impressive. But i dun think in actual ops, they will actually stand in one straight line and report that the aircaft is armed ba?
The stupid rain made me go home early ....
nah, not this year.
got rainbow wo

What missile did you shoot?
Some missiles will climb in a "Loft" attack in order to acheive optimum range. Usually the case for AMRAAMs and Hellfires.
Since you were mentioning a Boeing, i guess it was an Apache's Hellfire you were shooting?
I don't think the F-15SG sims are in yet.
Very little aerial performance in the Aerial Display compared to 2006.
And the crowd magnet, Black Knights.
"can i be a black knight too?"

Hmm, the ever friendly Beoing personnel told meit is just a F-15 Demonstrator. While the real simulator itself will be like X times better than this demonstrator ...
That's something new i learn, hmm, 'loft' ...
SINGAPORE: The Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, the highlight of which is an Open House.
Defence Minister Teo Chee Hean opened the two-day event at the Paya Lebar Air Base on Saturday.
Crowds packed the air base the moment the doors opened, with excited aviation enthusiasts heading straight for their favourite machines.
The RSAF has come a long way since its humble beginnings in the late sixties. It is now an advanced and integrated third-generation air
force.
That's also the theme of this year's Open House, which aims to educate the public about the RSAF's milestones in defence capabilities and operations.
Visitors can get up close and personal with the aircraft on static display. They can also get hands-on experience by hopping into a F-15 Strike Eagle fighter jet simulator.
Visitors can also win rides on aircraft like the Fokker-50 and Chinook helicopter.
And if you missed the aerial display at the National Day Parade earlier this month, you can catch it at the air force Open House.
The Open House is on till Sunday, from 9am to 7pm.
A commemorative book and a set of stamps have also been launched to mark the RSAF's 40th anniversary.
