I went to see a specialist regarding a reoccurence of my back pain last week and the doctor gave me a little memo for camp MO.
I have just POP and is now going through my block leave and has no unit yet. Do I hand this letter to the MO on the first day when I go to my new unit or go back to Tekong medical centre? But this would also mean the letter will be so long already by the time I pass it to the MO.
What I worry is that on the first day when I enter my new unit, there might be a lot of admin stuff to do and will be quite busy settling down and I may not have enough time to report sick in the morning to see the MO. Moreover, it doesn't give a good impression for reporting sick on the first day entering a new unit.
How's the usual procedure like for something like my case? And what could be a better way for this?
Hand to the MO in the new unit. If necessary the MO will put you on medical board to be downgraded...
Do I do it on the first day when I enter the unit?
Would the first day when I enter the unit be convenient for me to report sick(when I am not sick and just want to pass it to the MO) to see the MO to hand the letter over to him? I am worry that the first day entering the unit would be something like the first day of enlistment where there were a lot of administrative stuff to complete and if I miss them, I may get myself into a lot of hassle later.

Don't worry if u post to new unit, u can see the MO immediately.
So when I book in to my new unit camp, after I get into my bunk put my things inside, I will go report sick? Or would there be a time for me to do so?
In BMTC, there is a timing to report sick, that's during first parade. But during the first day, there wouldn't a first parade thing. Therefore I don't know at which timing would be the best time to do so. And I will be carrying so many things with me, fieldpack plus duffle bag, it will be so inconvenient. I suppose I will have to go up to my new bunk before I could report sick to see the MO. But by then, would it be still the right time to report sick?
Sorry please pardon me if I sound stupid because I really don't know how it works and how the process would be like when entering a new unit and am worry that I may do something wrong as I don't wish to get screwed.

Relax unit reporting sick timing can be more relax...but depend on where are you posted....
Btw where do you think you'll be posted? If it's another school then you can report sick almost immediately.
I don't think I will be going SISPEC. So chances are I will be going into unit as a man.
So does it mean if I am in a unit, I can report sick at anytime? I am thinking that I should inform my sergeant that I have a letter to hand to the MO on the first day I go to my unit camp.
Just scare that it gives a bad impression to report sick on the first day and kenna aim from then on... :(

even if he is posted to as a man, he is surely be posted to a vocation course in a vocational training school, b4 finally being posted to a permanent unit.
Maybe I am really being overly worried as I really don't know how the process is going to be like.
And I also worried what the MO would do after I hand the letter to him and tell him the specialist says that I have a back strain and is going through physiotherapy.
I scare the MO is going to be like 'back strain only u come here for what fcuk.' though my back is really painful but is like the MO wouldn't get what I mean. And this is also why I kept quiet about this pain since BMT until now when I cannot tahan.
