Anyone been to Dempsey Hill, the army Barracks. They told me it was the old CMPB.
Nice place to visit for once but the rest (food, scenery, spa, price) very subjective.
Who has report there for National Service before? I guess its more than 20 years ago. Wonder there is any underground tunnels?

Worked there before....yes it was the old CMPB....
recruits reporting there for NS...should be at least 35 years ago liao....
Havent seen any underground tunnels...but there is a nice football field behind...with a back view of the Queenstown Remand Prison.
ah ... this one should talk to unker seveneleven ...
That place was the old CMPB, then HQMC....I like it before they publicised the place....now too crowded...
I reported for NS there in 1982 !
Before that, when I was a kid, my dad used to take me to the British forces supermarket, called the NAAFI, which was located in one of the buildings in the old CMPB. You can buy cheap British stuff there ... like Airfix model kits !
My cousin , who was a MP , did his NS in CMPB before my time. The only interesting story he told me was that there was an incident where a fellow MP accidentally fired his .45 Colt pistol ( this was before we had Sig Sauers) and injured himself badly. Needless to say, he was sent to DB after he recovered , the DB was in CMPB !!!
