Currently my outmost max is only 4. Exerted amt.
but i need to do 5 at least to get silver for napfa. Need advice and tips!!!!!!
How shiong or tough i have thru within this week is ok. just wanna hit at least 5-6 by next Wed.

hmm i only remember, once u break the first 1, the rest quite fast. keep pulling, each week u will increase by 1.

hmm. i also v long nv pull already.
last time i am a zero fighter
but.. after a few months of really intense training.. can do 11. so proud of myself haha... now cannot do again hahaha!
just keep doing sets of 4, as what skythewood has said
do down sets, start with maximum ie: do 4, then 3 so on. Go to gym do lats pull down..

That's why you rest between sets. Recover, then do again.
4 to 5 is very fast
Now, for me, I want to go from 14 to 15, that's harder, given my lazy training.... :(

coz at home i can only do dumbbells. Im afraid im training the wrong set of muscle group for pull-ups.
there's only so much dumbbells can help you in chin ups. Chin ups utilise more muscles (and in a different way) as compared to what you can train with dumbbells; unless you are able to hang upside to train with dumbbells. Dumbbell back training are usually horizontal pull movements, but chin ups are vertical pull movements.
Don't be lazy and get out to your nearest chin up bar and train.

For me, doing weights help in my chin ups, I normally only do 4-5 chin ups without any training. But 3 weeks to a month before my IPPT, I would do weights everyday, pushing myself to the limit. After 3 weeks to a month of training, I managed to get 10 chin ups for my gold.
do one hold there for a few seconds, continue until you feel your muscle ache. than rest. while resting can train sit up or other things. than repeat for a few sets until you feel shack

Doing push ups means u are lifting your bodyweight...like pull up

Everyone starts off somewhere.
I don't see any reason to be malu about it.
Doing 1 or 2 or even 8 or 10 chin ups, no one will even notice or bother you. Unless you do like 20 or more chin ups, then people will actually notice you. So what's there to be malu about?
everyday do at least 1 set of ur max rep. den as days goes by, u can do alot
i started out at 5 pull ups. after ard 1 month, i can do 10 reps...
jus keep pulling can liao.

I don't have problem with running, my only problem is chin up, but 3 weeks to a month of weight training normally does the trick.
I don't know how to improve running because I don't have much problems with it, maybe can try do more running, increase you pace abit.
The only way to improve chin up is to do more....

go buy a mountable chin up bar.. costs around 30 bucks at sports shops. can mount on door frames etc..

Don't worry. You'll be amazed how effective doing bicep curls is to improving chin-ups.
