NCC "Officer": 2LT(NCC), LTA(NCC), CPT(NCC)

Although they hold similar rank insignia and functions in the military context what are the differences between them in terms of authority and priviledges?

u cannot compare saf officers with ncc officers. heck, u cant even compare saf recruit with ncc officers.

but by different level if not wrong
SAF state commission
NCC by some do not know who
some NCC officer are other rank non-officer in SAF

However i did encounter SAF wose greeting NCC officers in camps. How is that so?

what TS refer is NCC officer, wear uniform on SAF day,
Monday - Friday wear teacher
Saturday mostly will wear SAF uniform
some do some don't on speech day & National Day.

NCC officers are to be saluted and treated like a SAF Officer..they undergo cadet training too albeit a shorter term..NCC Officers are, commissioned indirectly by the President, but are not consecrated altogether...

hmm.. Really huh? Even so, I won't swallow my pride and greet a NCC officer when I see one.. I believe majority or maybe even every SAF guy won't do so.. Haha

Commandant NCC la.. all those to be NCC officers will be in a list to be screened by the president..so under the powers vested by the commandant with approval from the prez...NCC officers are indirectly commissioned unlike SAF Officers whereby background checks (G50) are made..President have veto powers in other words... -

So in times of war when there are shortage of officers these people would be given the opportunity to lead many to their early demise? -

they are suppose to be under civil defence, so like during national parade only carry umbralla. -

I did tell a story here once about an NCC guy (my neighbor)who showed us his gold Ranger tab and Airborne wings,he was the hero in Tanglin Halt Road when we were just 10.KNNBCCB better not run into me in a dark alley or I will break his head>LOL

NCC Officers are teachers, most of whom are arrowed anyway to take charge of NCC in their schools. They go through an "officer course", I think only a few weeks' long. The disparity is obvious.
