The only reason being that you are offered a citizenship somewhere else and wish to retain that citizenship.(Singapore only allows single citizenship) Let's say USA offers me a citizenship due to my professional qualifications and services in certain sensitive areas, it would be better for me to take up US citizenship.

That is because the Singapore government doesnt allow dual citizenship and Singaporeans must decide when they reach 21.

so parents must kept all travelling records till he reaches 21.
