Are u JC or poly? Poly u will enter the 9 weeks BMT if u pass NAPFA, 13 weeks if u failed it. JC will go for 17 weeks PTP+BMT if fail Napfa and 9 weeks if pass.
JC batch, i got gold somehow by luck. But let say i screw up in there cos i havent excercise for like 1 year already will they prolong my bmt or will they have to let me pass out once my 9 weeks are up.
NAPFA results are only useful for a year. If your previous NAPFA results is over a yr old you will need to retake NAPFA if not you will be considered to have failed it.
If you pass before NS and fail in NS, you will still pass out of BMT when you should but you have no chance for command school etc.
oh im not interested for command school, but i took m napfa somewhere in april last year, and im enlisting on 13 april....and i havent got informed i need to retake so i assume i dont need to ?
actually go command school means more tough training only right and maybe higher pay for the 2 years ?
Apr is a 9 week intake. If you haven't been training, i advice you to start some training in the next 2 weeks to get your body ready for some hardwork if not you will suffer in NS since they expect you to be fit and will not give you all much time to get use to the training like the PTP batches.
In army as long as you go to a combat vocation, its tough training. Just that the type of training and toughness defers among the vocations.
Most of the people in army aim for command sch for pay and juz not to be man
i gather by not being a man is to be able to excercise control over others ?
A man's job is juz to obey instructions. Some say a Spec's job is the worse since they are sandwich between demanding officers and uncooperative man. Officers are of cos the slackers sitting in office.
hmm then i guess its ok to not go ocs or sispec and just get the 9 weeks over and done with huh
oh ya what about if let say during the bmt u sick and took 1 week rest , will your bmt passing out be extended by 1week ?
Lets just say your NS life starts after you leave tekong.
The BMT duration is fix. If you miss certain activities due to MC its ok but you need to clear field camp, SOC, range, IPPT etc. If you do not complete most of the major activities or get too many days of MC, you might be Out of Cource (OOC) and have to return to tekong again for a recourse at a much later date.

I don't quite agree. Officers although slack but their rank are still the lowest of all the officers. On top still got some bigshot. Punishment are much more heavier compare to man and specialist.
I saw a officier cadet signed 21 days extra duties.
A commision officer signed 14 days extra duties for failing to do proper handling and taking over of armskote.
The higher you go the more responsibility you have to shoulder!
officer got to meet oc, s3, co all these ccb kia. whereeas spec have to meet only man and 2lt. but i agree, higher rank, higher responsibility.

Higher rank higher responsibility but as long as you do not do anything drastic, your life is pretty slack compared to specs and men who are always on the ground.
Lowest of the officer ranks but their allowance is twice that of a spec and 3 times that of a man
Most of the time i see specs getting more blames for things than officiers and many of the external units NSF officers are hopeless and just do nothing but sit in the office. When i need information, even a man can provide me what i want and not the officer when the info i need can be simply found in the company office.
In my entire duration as a spec, there is only 1 NSF officier that earned my respect and he was one who never behave like an officer and use his rank on me but went outside his job scope to help me checkup on some information from other departments.
eh hor u said if miss too many then OOC then what about if i miss 1 of the main core ones say SOC due to being ill or something

Most of them will have makeup by letting you join other companies but u will be with strangers so is best to do with your own platoon. If yours is the last for that activity then you abit suay lo then see how your company wants arrange.

Agree with you, I also meet this type of NSF officer who never throw rank on men or specs.
