Pre-Enlist: Enlistment Age ?

Jusking asking, whether what is the age to get Enlist? After completed NITEC can serve National Service? Around 18years old++ can?

Min age is 16.5. There are people who request for early enlistment after their O's to go straight to NS before JC/poly/ITE

16 is the minimum. My cousin went to NS when he was 16.

I still dunno y ppl will wan early enlist cos u are confirm stuck as a man with 0 chance of spec/officer as far as i know

cos not all ppl can get to poly/jc/ite. so they rather enlist early, ord, then come out to work.

Okay i see, so i can request for Enlist after i graduate this year? Anyway I'm currently studying NITEC this year and this year will graduate, so most probably when will i get Enlist? Confirm will get vacancy to Enlist or have to wait?
So the batch i Enlist will be all those ITE students that also completed NITEC too or mix with JC/Poly? -

So the batch i Enlist will be all those ITE students that also completed NITEC too or mix with JC/Poly?I believe MINDEF will sent u enlistment letter when u grad since even if u choose to go poly etc after ur ITE, u have to apply for deferement to persue ur poly education.
ITE batches should be mixed with the JC/poly batches depending on when u grad i believe since there is no dedicated batch like JC/poly which is mainly due to the period they graduate.

There are pros and cons regardless whether u officer, spec or man.
I enjoyed my days as a spec though its a log spec which is commonly known to have little spec power but i would say it was what i do and my superiors that made me enjoy it and not really the rank i held even if it means i don't need to be a guard for guard duty :p

Okay so most probably i will receive the enlistment letter at the end of December? So confirm will get enlist after my NITEC? I don't want to delay longer time to get enlist because after serving National Service, can get a FT job already..

Ur cous didn't even qualify for ITE? What sort of work can do then without any sort of qualifications?

You should get a letter for medical checkup within this year since its about 6months or more after medical checkup for enlistment. If you don't get anything then maybe you should check with them.

I am not sure if he can qualify for ITE, but I know he didnt qualify for Poly/JC. Well, that's his own decision to enlist early. -

I got a friend who is chinese who was posted to SCDF and became an instructor there.

I am Chinese. lol. I think he enlisted last year. But yea, SCDF alot of Malays according to him. -

Ya i received one letter that stated that, have to go to 'ns.sg' to do some document, select the uniform, boots etc... they asked to book a appointment date for check up too, but i book the day is on friday, but i'm still studying how?
