  kinda boring to see it over and over again. they like got no competition.  anyway, on cna last night, the clip showed them armed with p90. iirc, first time they ever showed that. usually sar21.

  Guards units had won a couple of years' in the early 2000s...

  so the consecutive years records is broken... its the same with changi airport global ranking...

  dont forget there was once [should be 2003], 1cdo was disqualified before... other than that it's the other units that's taking the place.

  btw, p90 is a cdo-only weapon apart from the usual infantry packages?

  Has the SAF Cdo adopt P90 instead?? I tot their favourite weapon still Carbine?? P90 uses different bullet calibre.

  Cdo still uses M4 carbine . P90 has always been adopted by cdo because of its 50 rounds clip and versatility..

  its just that it has been recently publicized in the above picture

  Not surprised they get the best combat unit! Basically all of them are highly motivated and more like (being brain washed before).

   

  If you ask any atec company dudes which unit they preferred to play with for atec, certainly, they will say "CDO" and they refers other units as wasting time and effort.

  I think one of the important factors that a unit won the best combat is motivation. The best unit competition takes in IPPT, range, standby, ATEC, IRL inspections etc. 1 SIR & 3 SIR won the best combat unit in the late 1990s as both units have very good COs who can pull & push their guys the right way. As a result, the main factor that their men fought for their lives is for their CO. I have an NS mate serving in the former 3 SIR best unit now 596 SIR. He served as a driver but he got IPPT gold all the way during NSF. He told us that time they work like hell not because of SAF, Singapore or friends but for their CO. They do not want to let Sukh Singh down.
