You should be taught all that you need. The basic scouts stuff should be sufficient.
Eg: some of the examples??

butterfly, reef, eight etc
I'm bad with my knots and since everyone in SIT test will be given a 'position' such as signaller, navigator, minesweeper etc etc, some might not even need tie any knots on your own.
thanx =D wld it b vv tough durin sit?
No SIT Test is very slack as compared to field camp. Its only 2 days 1 night if i rmb correctly. And after ur assessment, u'll have the rest of the day to urself, meaning after 2 or 3 o'clock, u'll be very very free.
The assessment obstacles do require some thinking and teamwork, but its nothing too hard. Even if u cannot complete it, it doesnt really matter cos they look more at the solving process than the end result. U should be doing 12 obstacles in 2 days I think. As for the obstacles, we cannot post it here cos if kinda classified.
Anyway, the tying of knots and stuff would not be a problem if u got a scout boy in ur team. If not, its also not too bad. Just remember all ur square lashings, and the most important one; the clove hitch. U dunno that one, u dont need to help in tying alr. The rest of it just anyhow tie lah. As long as u tie tight and secure enough, its ok alr.
SIT test is a strong determination point whether you end up at SISPEC or not.

Its 3D/2N, 1st day to march to campsite and setup basha etc. Next morning then start the 1st 6 mission and have the next 6 on the 3rd day.
