RSAF: FDS @ PLAB ?

  hey ppl, juz got posted to plab from sispec after bslc. i wanna ask abt what kind of a vocation this is, and other details abt the course, like duration and what stuff we do. oh and also about what life is like after finishing the fds course. thx loads

  means you're gonna be a 3sg fds? if it is then ur job is quite slack one..most likely is pass making office..cause those on checking pass duties at checkpoints usually are men.

  im under fds, plab haha u will see me quite often:) fds = field defence squadron, mostly doing RP-related jobs, like mounting. i do know of the 3sg who will be in charge of u all. To my knowledge, i think u all will not have any live ranges, but there are outfields. I think that if u complete the course, u will be in charge of training new ASLC people posting into FDS. Not too sure.

  Hey I'm posted to this course too! How long is this course? What will FDS specialist do after completing this course? 

  I heard there will be plenty of trench and shellscrape digging and turn outs. IS it true?

  From what i know, the 3sg who are in charge of training u all ASLC trainees have went through the course themselves too, so u may end up a 3sg training new ASLC batches when they post in.

  oh are the outfields during the course or even after we finish the course? and how's it like after we finish, like our working days etc
