I saw a lot of young full time national service personnel in uniform all sporting funky hairdos in town.
Army doesn't look to strict these days.

most armies in the world are not enlisted. IE people sign up for it willingly. If must botak then every 18-20yo SGrean no hair alr loh.

US really are patriots, the military in US are much more respected than in SG.
