Hi, I just received my enlistment letter
08 Dec 2009(Tue) at 9.00AM to Home Team Academy
As you did not attain the required Napfa test standard, you will be attending a 8-weeks physical training phase programme followed by 13 weeks basic police training.
Hi everyone, I have the the absolute intention of retaking my napha either this or next week and is confident that i would at least get a silver if not gold .
So i was wondering if i would still be elligible for the 2-months reduction, and assuming the enlistment date changes again will i still be posted to police? Thanks :) -

Thanks :)Do it quickly and submit to CMPB. You should be able to get the 2 month reduction and be assigned another enlistment date but i am unsure whether you will get back HTA again or might be sent to SAF etc.

It has to be done at least 1-2 months before enlistment. Do it too late and they might not bother to change your enlistment. Even if they do, it will be seriously push back cos most of the upcoming slots would have been filled.

yes if you do it now, you still have a chance to get the reduction but whether you'll still be under police, nobody can confirm.

Starting from the Dec batch, PTP has been increased from 4 wks to 8 wks and those who pass NAPFA will enlist after the PTP people have done their 8 wks PTP so they will all ORD at the same time unlike the 1 month earlier now.

Sometimes its not ppl last minute squeeze in but its because not enough people enlisting. This is more common esp for the 2nd intake which is the mar/apr sept/oct intakes since the earlier 1 should normally be more filled.

i advise u TS...just let it be and do ya PTP la...cos if u re-assigned to SAF it will be hell for u in NS 'career' yes NSF+ 10 yrs cycle reslavery...being NSmen in home team is much better..

yeah since you're already posted to police, i think most will rather serve 24 months in police then 22 months in army.

Nope. u can do it 2 weeks before and still get 1 yr 10mths.. well i guess tts the price u gotta pay for having 2months off

It depends on how fast CMPB receive and willing to process the info. Don't count on their efficiency.
The later u do it, the later ur enlistment. Unless you wanna enlist very late which might affect uni entry for those who plan it go uni etc if not its best to clear it asap

btw TS i advise u, take the 24 months Police.
Alot of ppl rather take the 24 months as Police than 22 months as SAF.
