what do you mean?
he cant promote liao. most warrants or wo, get promoted at around 30 plus. if 43 still ssg, means stop there liao.

A SSG at the age of 43 is simply a disgrace and not anything any SAF regular should be proud of.
What insiderstory is trying to say is simply your cousin cannot get any promotion cos he does nothing but slack so he deserves to be stuck at such a low rank.

then what should he do?

Nothing he can do. Now too late for promotion liao and hes stuck so long, theres unlikely any reason for his superiors to ever want promote him anymore.
A typical person would reach SSG in their early 30s and get their MSG in a few yrs from that.
earliest for SSG can be late 20s also... from 26/7[earliest] to 29+..

Thats for mostly the high fliers. Most of them get their SSG closer to 30 i believe.

This SSG at age 43 maybe only have O level but as a SSG he probably earns about 3k to 4k a month which is much more than what he can earn working outside so he is actually very lucky already

A SSG is unlikely to get close to 4k since even a 1WO also is in the 4k range.

Even 3k a month is good for a O level graduate already.. Some diploma holders don't even get to earn 3k a month working outside

Starting pay no but at the age of 43, many dip holders can earn much more than 3k. I even know of some who earn above 5k.

Don't compare starting pay of diploma holders (who should presumably be in their early 20s when they start work) with that of a 43 year old.
3K a month at 43 is very terrible.

Some people at 43 get retrechned and have to work as taxi driver. For a O level graduate who have a slack job and can earn 3k a month is actually not bad..

Taxi drivers make more than $3k. I asked them before. One of them even proudly boasted to me that he was super pleased that the transport council approved the fare hike and that he's been making even more after that.

Then i guess it'd be this group of people who are happy to retire as SSG.

I have not noticed your questioned posted to me. Sorry
Navy medic required a certain level of expertise.
You can sign on as a civilian (as nurse ) if you are interested, anyway they need people who specialized in hyperbaric medicine, surgical.
Sign on medical spec is an immediate headed nurse. who managed the medical center. But there are also submarine spec who are part of the crew.
