Hmm i know this is a very open ended question and there is never a confirmed answer, but i'd like to ask (if anyone here knows), what kind of vocation will i likely be posted to?
I'm a highly unfit individual and even with the hard training in BMT, my fitness can never match the passing criteria for IPPT.
I'm PES B with a borderline overweight BMI, and i've declared my following medical conditions:
Colourblindness
History of fits
History of heat injuries
Eczemia
Chronic insomnia.
I'm a diploma holder with an average gpa (3.2)
I did not do well in the math portions of the test in CMPB, but i think i've done well in the other areas. But i think i will not express interest in being a commander due to my lack of fitness and low stress threshold.
And i've not been a trouble maker or a constantly sick recruit.
What do u guys think i may be possibly posted to? I sincerely hope its not rifleman where the commanders will push me to near death.
Sure or more likely medic
most likely, going to Guards unit after ur OCS course

PES B means every vocation is available to you except those that your colour blindness will affect your work like those dealing with wiring such as electronics, bomb disposal etc.
Results, poly course plays an almost non existant part of posting. How the test before enlistment affects vocational posting is still a big mystery that i don't think any forummer is able to give a conclusive answer about.
I have unfit friends in BMT who failed IPPT, SOC etc and were still suay enough to be posted to infantry where they trained so much that they all managed to pass eventually. Fitness carries little weight in posting except whether you can qualify for command school or not.

Logic?
I-like-flings(m), why do u say guards after my ocs course? Are my statistics likely to place me into guards?

I will say noone can give a definite answer and any options are purely guesses without much to backup the guess.
maybe driver...........
i think u can down pes leh xD
you will be posted to military police....
No, he won't be posted to guards after OCS. Just to guards only. To clear GAIT, den do GCC to get tab and beret, after that, spend his remaining time as a man, probably as a GPMG operator. Lots of fun time! Wish I be in your shoes, but gonna ORD soon =)
if your eczema is serious, you'd be downgraded and you'll LIKELY (note: not DEFINITELY) get a non-combat vocation.
i doubt it's a serious case though, right? if not you wouldn't even be PES B in the first place.
if based on ur current PES, all vocations are open to you.
To TS, with a Pes B status you are eligible to all vocations but since you cannot pass IPPT, you are not likely not get to command sch. So keep your fingers cross.......

heh not sure about the ineligibility for command sch if IPPT cannot pass.. 2 years ago SISPEC seem to take in loads of recruits who didn't pass IPPT. not sure if it's still that way now though.

I'm sure they'll consider rthose who failed by borderline cases. I know some cases pass out of BMT failing IPPT but once in command sch, they passed.

yep yep.. i have a few platoon mates who couldn't pull a single pull up in tekong, but after sispec they could do 10 or 11.
constant training works wonders.. most of the time. hahaha.
i have fren just like u... cannt pass IPPT SOC...pes B .. overweight...
except he dont have
Chronic insomnia.
he still ord as a rifleman.. N he still cannot pass his ippt and soc..
I sincerely hope its not rifleman where the commanders will push me to near death.
u also dontknow what u got yet..and how u know they will push u to death..
its not easy to die if u take good care of yourself.. can always let them know if u are feeling unwell..
dont worry

you should be thankful if you get posted to be a rifleman, cos you'll be much fitter and stronger after going through the training.

as long as posted to any unit, and really make an effort to train hard and learn, any unit can make a man out of you. :)
most importantly is to approach your vocation with an open mind.

History of heat exhaustion, especially life-threatening ones, will likely ( but not definitely ) get you send to places where you do not need to be tortured under the hot sun with a big field pack.
