In BMT, almost everyone will fail SOC so thats normal. IPPT certain coy might ask u go back for extra training if you fail but not all. IPPT is BMT is not considered regardless you pass or fail anyway since the actual annual IPPT test needs to be taken at unit.
The only thing you die die must pass during BMT should be range since units do not conduct BTP. Field camp just need participate in most of the activities can liao.

I know of a number of people who never did their 24km, supposed to come back during block leave to do it but in the end never and still pass BMT cos they were on status or some simply just fall out so its not as bad as the other 2.

Yeah you need at least 2 but for 24km a decent number of ppl still fallout from it and its the toughest of all the items. Range is 1 where u die die have to pass and will reshoot till you do, field camp is 1 where they may sent you to join another coy if you missed yours etc. However 24km is not always held during block leave for those who fail it so its slightly less essential in that sense.
There are even people who did not even pass BMT after ORD so thats not uncommon and most of those who go BMT nearing to ORD also won't care whether they pass or fail but really go to tekong like chalet cos most of then generally will ORD immediately or soon after BMT.

Even if you fall out at or so for the re-24km, sometimes the sergeants will close one eye and just tick your name.
I still remember that my re-24km has a lot of items "missing" from my field pack because the officer close one eye for us all.
