ORD: NSman Reservist Unit Posting Order

Hello all,
I just ORD-ed not too long ago and I check NS.sg for my unit posting. Apparently, I am posted to this unit called ATDC under the SAF Wargames Centre.
Can anyone please tell me more about this unit and what they do during reservice? Thanks!

Please state what this unit does during reservice, and the credibility of your statement. Not that I don't trust you all, but I would like to know whether is your statement reliable or not.

ahh my previous unit when i was attached briefly...if you are an officer, you will be shuttling between tradoc and atdc...wargaming and battle plans...chances are they will send you for AOAS for CTC/BTC... if you are a man/spec, most prob, keep track of company movement...not bad la..inside the room, air con..

My friend's bro was ther for reservist, played computer in aircon room everyday.......even got time to go for golf games at times....

Not sure about PSP, but a few NSmen were almost charged for smuggling in camera phones during my last ICT... does this mean that so long as a device has no camera it's okay? Like an iPod Touch for example?

Sorry to hijack, I just want to ask how long will it take from ORD before they'd inform you of your reservist unit posting? I tried checking myunit on the ns.sg website but it's 'under construction'.
Really looking forward to knowing my reservist status, hope some lao jiao can shed some light! Thanks!

No electronic devices with memory cards etc are allowed in camps as well

I was informed of my first ICT 2 years after I ORD'd. Had to defer it because I was studying full time at SIM (but unlike folks at NTU or NUS I had to really convince NSAD with a lot of back-and-forth letters and calls). I think if you are studying at NTU or NUS you are automatically placed on a IHL(Institute of Higher Learning) holding list until further notice.

Before I ORD'd, I was revocated to a clerk. And pes status was C9L9, so I'm kinda anticipating the MR letter

But a PSP has a m2 slot while the PSP Go has onboard memory.... guess it's a "don't get caught" situation huh?
Detached: There is a guy in my platoon who was PES E and he was still called back for ICT.... just don't get your hopes up...

Diff camps have diff rules. Some strictly forbid while some are slightly more flexible.

It depends. Sometimes the next day after ORD you will know already, but sometimes it can take up to a few months. Oh, pray hard that you will not know so soon, I know of someone who know of it the next day after he ORDed, and he got called up for mob manning with me.
Luckily never got activated.

General thumb rule is no removable memory device.
