I have more questions I need to clarify, please.
If I have/had been in a Polytechnic/Diploma course but I dropped out before finishing it, what are the chances of me going for Tekong batch compared to Mono-intake?
Is it possible to send in an appeal requesting that I join the Tekong batch?
Are both paths the same period of serving time?
Importantly, would the monthly allowance be equal?
Thanks guys!
allowance depends on rank and vocation.. as for chances im not sure..but maybe more chance to go mono intake..

Seriously , u cant change the Computer posting at Control of Personnel Centre at G1 ,Army Personnel Department
It a no-say thingy ..
both path is the same number of years
and monthly allowance is equal ..based on your combat vocation .The SAF is never meant to pay an conscript a comfortable form of salary
else there will be public wrath on it ...
serve your 2 years and fall out happily bah ,why worry too much ?

Mono is quite high.
Apppeals will never be accepted since there are few who would be willing to enter mono and if appeals were allowed, CMPB would be too busy reading appeal letters.
Both paths will serve 2 years but if you pass NAPFA, you will get a 2 month reduction for PES A/B only.
Allowance depends on vocation and rank since combat vocations have combat allowance and certain combat vocations like guards etc have additional allowance.
Why worry abt entering mono?

Hi shadez,
If you drop out before you complete your Diploma course, you will be considered a "O"-level certificate holder, and thus will likely join the Mono-intake batches.
You are not allowed to appeal to join those who are doing their BMT at Pulau Tekong, your period of serving depends on your NAPFA test results, and your allowance as a recruit depends on which Mono-intake BMT you entered.
Cheers.
PHDs has a chance of going to leadership BMT courses at P. Tekong. maximum is go sispec, no OCS.
of course, allowance wise, its go by rank, not by education level.
PSLE or degree holder, but same rank, also same rank pay
NITEC very high chance go mono intake, but will have a chance of going Tekong. if go tekong also wont go sispec or ocs, but may means better vocations eg. driver
aiya in SAF, everything also got chance everything also not confirmed everything aso grey one la

Hi One Harmonius Blend,
The answer will be yes.
Cheers.
How about those with private diploma or certificates or whatever "paper" that they took after their N or O levels? Also mono intake?
You want to go tekong despite not having cert? Just gain some weight and join the PES BP batch. When you pop'd, you would still likely to be a man, just in service support instead of combat.
i'm a phd, got into tekong leadership batch also.
most probably due to my gd napfa result. i asked my curren csm , it is taken into consideration although their other factors.
go ocs got chance, be the top 4 recuit. but slim chance even if u're the top 4 recuit.

Higher chance of tekong as compared to just N and O, but no guarantee for them as well.
wanna be top 3 also need to suck balls a bit, i hate to say, or those sadist 2LTs got a sudden liking in you or your profile/character..
but then a guy in my plt he top 3 only go sispec nia.. maybe the sit test peer assessment he didnt fare well
Well, I went tekong even though I PHD the first time round.
sorry to ask, but what is 'PHD' ??? do you mean PhD(Doctor of Philosophy) ???
