I've been posted to MP and there are several questions in my head regarding this vocation...
1. I heard there is a high OOC rate during the training as MP, why is that so? Is it due to injury... failure to meet their fitness criteria or ...?
2. If you OOC, does that mean you will no longer be MP when you recover?
3. Is there SOC, route march, and out field training for MPs?
4. What is the difference between Out-of-course (OOC) and Out-Of-Training (OOT)?
5. If you're unable to get silver for ippt no matter how hard you try, what happens?
6. If you fail to pass out of the school as MP, do you retake or get immediately sent to rifleman or guards etc.?
7. Is the MP training tough compared to SISPEC and OCS?
And is it possible to tell which MP unit i'll eventually be posted to just by looking at the posting order?
1. OoC rate is quite low actually.
2. Yes.
3. No SOC, no route march, a few out field training but very fun one, so don't worry.
4. Out of training is you are going to be placed in the next batch of trainees. Out of course means you will be posted somewhere else.
5. Don't worry, they will make you get a silver one. If not, good luck, even more training for you.
6. It is quite impossible to fail. Seriously.
7. No.
8. No. High chance you will go Gombak though, where you are stuck with guard duty for the rest of your 2 years. Suay will go Dog Unit or Detention Barracks. Lucky will go SB/SIB, where you will come to work in office wear and shake leg for 2 years. Even luckier will go LECC, where you will go raiding bunks, catching people, and get to wear the No. 1 uniform.
