Thanks for the concern. I am just a little uptight about it, cos its really important that they in MINDEF can allow me to do my actions when I am affected by OCD. I really have to do these rituals even though they are senseless and take up lots of time. My obsessions are not just about cleanliness and germs. There are much more other stuff that distress me. I have told my doctor about it. Don't worry about me, I will take the medication and I do have a review again in 2 weeks. Thanks everyone. Btw I see a psychologist for therapy also. Does he need to do anything?

The medication should work....it worked for my fren...Good luck in overcoming your illness and the PES downgrade !
Hi all,
I was just downgraded from PES BL1 to PES C9L3 perm on the 110111 onwards with EX Upper Limb Activities perm.
I currently have a few questions that I need to clarify.
1. What vocation will I most likely be posted to?
2. Considering that all the clerk positions in my battalion HQ are filled and also my company already has an official company clerk, where will I be posted to?
3. Usually how long does it take to be posted to my new vocation?
Any kind of opinions are welcome!!! Thanks!!!

If army clerks are full, they may even post you out of army and into SCDF ?

Oic...well I must say you should be down PES to C2, C9 or E ....dun worry too much. CMPB is very efficient....
Hi all,
I would like some advice on my situation.
I went through a brain tumor surgery about 2 years ago and the tumor was not completely removed. If it was completely removed, i will be blind as it is on my optic nerve. when i see things there will still be a bright spot in one of my eye preventing me to see properly. this also resulted in me losing my sense of smell.
the medicine that i took made me have a history of seizures and my skin is allergic to dust and dirty enviroments, i have very sensitive skin, if dirty enviroments, i will have breakouts on my face. And also, i am very careless and sprain my ankles a few times, always the left leg. sigh.
I went for my medical check up earlier this month the pes status given was PES E9L9
but without any doctor's memo as the MO only referred to the medical report from TTSH from their computer.
any idea what will i most probably do and when will will enlistment date be?
and any idea if i will have a chance to downgrade my pes even more if i approach all my specialist for memos?

- ENT (Loss sense of smell due to operation and Sinus which causes me to have blocked nose almost all the time)
- Neuro (Brain Tumor, specifically - Pituitary Tumor)
- Eye (Poor vision on the left eye due to the tumor before operation, but only improved as tumor not removed fully as it will cause a full loss in sight on the left eye)
- Endocrine (Blood and hormones imbalance due to the tumor removal, but regained as per normal after medications)
- Poor skin condition (Rashes due to different medication given to control seizures and for the operation, and acne will breakout if expose to dirty environment, currently on medication given by my dermatologist.)
- Weak ankle due to frequent sprains and heavy weight in the past.
Would really appreciate if any veterans can give me a reply or some advice as i've posted a while ago but to no avail.Thanks.
You will almost certainly be a 8 - 5 clerk. Unfortunately that is all I can tell you.

if your vocation allows you to book out every evening without any recalls or anything, you should be able to study your part time degree while serving NS. but in any case, you may want to let ur superior know, so at least in any event, you are accounted for.
So many people have health related problems....I heard the MO nowadays are all skeptical of your condition if you dun have a specialist memo to show them....
Hi. I have question that I need answer.
I have lung problem when I was newborn. I was hospitalised in SGH for 2 weeks. My heart-beat rate was abnormally fast during certain times of the day. They couldn't detect the problem with my lungs and wanted to hospitalised me longer. However, my mum couldn't take it anymore by seeing me get poked everyday and asked for the hospital to discharge me. My mum had to sign a "contract" which stated that if anything happen to me in the future, the hospital will not be held responsible.
The question is:
Does the hospital still keep record of my lung problem even after over 20 years?
My mum did not get any medical letters or any form of papers that I had that lung problem because she discharged me during observation. I want to know whether they still keep record so I can show it to the MO during pre-enlist medical screening.

Yes.
When you are a patient at SGH, they keep records of your visit. They are bound by law and professional ethics to keep your medical records, including Electronic Medical Records, and all aspects of care rendered to you strictly confidential.

Depends on which camp you are send to.
Generally, you are expected to paperwork.
If you are in a 'good' camp, that will be all that you do, and the rest of the time you will be at canteen, gym, on the computer ....etc. If you are in a 'not-so-good' camp, be prepared to clean up places, carry load, help out others from other vocations ....etc.
Part time degree, yes. As someone said, it will be better to ask your 'boss' for permission first.

Why like that still PES E? I tot should be PES F due to ur description.
thanks for the reply.
@pure emptiness:
my description will get me a PES F?
hmm, sure?
one reason why maybe, when i went for my medical checkup, i only brought a diagnosis letter of my brain tumor, not a memo from my doctor. and my MO didnt even ask me anything, i was the one doing the talking, and all along, he was giving me the damn buay song face.
my plan is to get all the memos as stated above and return to CMPB to get another medical classification.
but i'm only afraid that they might upgrade me PES instead of giving me a PES F.
any more lao jiao can verify this?
Many thanks.

well one thing's for sure, there's no GUARANTEED Pes F unless of course you have incurable diseases like AIDS or cancer (ur tumour shouldnt be cancerous right..)
and yes, MOST MOs in the army have that buay song face, thinking they are all that superior just because they went to medical school and have 3 bars on their shoulders. pui. (like i said, MOST MOs so if you're not like that, just ignore me.)
in any case i dont think they will upgrade your PES status, and even if they do, it'll most likely be in the PES C region and likely not to be combat fit.

I think they will give you permanent PES E the most....becos PES F are for people who are dying soon or severe mentally gone case....
I have nothing to comment on. Maybe the most u can get is PES E bah.
Hi I'm due for NS enlistment check-up later this year but recently (end of last year in fact) I injured my shoulder and after going through an MRI scan, the specialist stated that I got a labrum tear.
As such, I am scheduled to undergo surgery in a couple of weeks and the specialist said that he will have to write a letter asking for me to be excused from push-ups and pull-ups. What i would like to know is what PES will that qualify me as? Thanks
