Oh right that makes more sense.
Thank you. Then why are there people further up who say they got downpes for flat feet?
I guess best is to get letter and see what the MO says right?

Flat feet can get downgrade easily ast time. Now it is more difficult.
Keeping a medical record is always good.

I was a PES A Nsf in an Infantry unit. Currently, I had served 3 ICTs and the upcoming 4th is in December. In April, I was downgraded permanently to PES C9L9. I have been calling up NS.sg and all advises me to report to my unit and it’s up to their discretion if I would be re-vocationalise. Last that I checked with my unit, my vocation is still an Infantry soldier.
So my unit has the discretion to remain me as combat ready and I will continue to be an Infantry soldier even when I am downgraded to C9L9? Isn’t this ridiculous?
Hi,
I think u shall be posted out of your unit very soon, possibly to a clerical unit/HQ as a clerk/storeman or out of Army into SCDF .... my fren also like your case, from rifleman PES B downgrade to PES C9L9...the unit posted him out and to SCDF...

Dunno if got any harder ones.

I dont think webbing toes is a cosmetical condition. In fact, it is a foot defect. Should have report to MO during CMPB check up.
Normal walking may be ok. But if you are carrying 35 kg backpack and march for 32 km in boots, your feet might give some problem. You might be surprised that there are people who can do this, without any problem. And still can go shopping at Suntec the next day.
hi,
i got a heel fracture and got post as a storeman. But still got difficulty walking. Do u think i can be a storeman? thanks
I am currently undergoing bmt but I will only be fit for light duty for the next 5weeks due to sprained ankle. Any1 can tell me what will happen to me?

Don't go putting weight on your heel man. Get yourself properly downgraded and re-vocated.

As long as you pass IPPT, SOC before BMT ends, you pass BMT. If you miss any route march, make up session will be arranged for you.
I don't think I can pass both though lol
I don't think I can do soc anytime soon as my injury also came from soc.

if the latest medical review follow-up shows that your lungs okay and recovered, goes back to your original PES. e.g. PES B.
I went to SNEC to get my eyes checked up by a specialist due to complications with my eyes. I got a really bad conjunctivitis years back and after it was treated, ive been experiencing extreme sensitivity to light that will cause migraine after 5 minutes out under the sunlight. So as i were enlisted for NS on the 8th of Dec, decided to see if my eyes are okay. Went to the SNEC Balestiar Branch, and they told me my eyes are complicated and they referred me to SNEC Outram. A specialist checked on me and wrote a memo saying that i have a chronic bilateral eye disease that needs regular follow up. It also includes my sensitivity to light. Diagnosis: Meibomian Gland Dysfunction. Went to see MO at CMPB and gave it to him, and all he said was my eyes are normal. He said this is a normal disease and i'm not deemed eligible for a down pes. Thing is, i have to return to see the specialist every 2 weeks once, and i got all those kinds of medication which aren't affective to my eyes somehow. When i told the specialist of getting a memo, he said he will write me one (which he did) and on my next appointment on the 29th he will write me another. So what should i do? What should i tell the specialist? i really cant take the light. even when i'm under a shade outdoor i have to barely open my eyes. Under direct sunlight, its torturous and i will just fall sick with migraine.
If I am OOC during my current bmt which ends on Jan 7, and I am excuse lower limbs till late jan. Any1 know where will my likely posting be. I am Pes B1

Simple.
Simply refer to this guideline:
http://sgforums.com/forums/1390/topics/392446
1. Request the specialist to write a strongly worded memo.
(as mentioned in point number 4 in the above guideline.)
2. Call CMPB to schedule for a follow-up review to submit the 2nd specialist memo.
(as mentioned in point number 5 in the above guideline.)
3. If you can't wait, simply just walk-in into CMPB and speak to the Customer Service Officer at the counter about your case and request for immediate attention asap.
partial colour blindness = PES B1L1 ?
It'll all deps on the severity of the situation....

- currently an active ns man. had 2 temp 6 months down pes due to different reasons. i heard that having 3 temp 6 months down pes will result in perm down pes. true?
- can suspected prolapsed intervertebral disc (PID) get perm down pes to C and below without MRI?
thanks in advance.
Please refer to this guideline:

1) Not true. It depends and varies due to any latest follow-up hospital specialist memos to update the camp MO.
2) You will need a specialist memo to indicate a finalised medical diagnosis. For a confirmed PID ("slipped discs" / ruptured spinal discs), it's a minimum of at least PES C2 to C9 range.
