Hi everyone! I'm new to sgforums.
I have a few medical conditions: Dyslexia, ADHD, severe dust allergy, all backed up with medical reports.
I also have a brother who recently ROD'd from NS with Pes E certification, Dyslexia, ADHD and a few other conditions I'm not too familar with.
I'll like to know what Pes I'll be assigned to and how it'll be like for me, i.e. what I'll be assigned to do, any special arrangements, and etc.
I'm currently doing my O-levels this year, and I just want to plan ahead.
Please advise me on this. Thanks!
when you have the same medical conditions as your brother who is PES E, then what do you think your PES is?
there are only 2 vocations for PES E. it's either clerk or storeman.
@Rednano
I thought of that, just wanted to clarify.
What exactly am I required to do as a clerk/storeman? What's the hours? Am I able to study part-time while NS so I wouldn't waste those 2 years?

The memo state 2yrs ago The patient Mr XXXX is having hypertension and will be undergoing medication for his entire life.I got temp E9L9
Last yr,i do not have memo also extend my temp
This yr also no memo, also extend temp
I show the Mo my current medicines which is adalat 60MG and enalapril 10MG
clerk = do paperwork. mental.
storeman = move goods in and out of storeroom. physical.
study part-time, can.
but is NS duties above studies.
it means that when there are NS duties outside office hours, you must do NS duties 1st.
for example, weekend duties/ outfield exercise duties when unit moves out to jungle.

What are the changes to your lifestyle, diet and exercise?
Firstly, you are strongly advised to eat oats (instant/ quick-cook) as heavy breakfast, and greatly reduce eating fried foods and junk foods.
Secondly, please start cardio exercising.
Start from light to gradual to moderate.
e.g. brisk walking, then fast walking, then slow jogging, then jogging.
Thirdly, if you drink alcohol/ smoke tobacco, please quit.
It's best that by changing your lifestyle, your BP will gradually stablise and be within normal range. Doctors advise that to manage BP effectively, it's optimal to change your lifestyle, next is to reduce drug dosage, and finally be completely off medicine.

i don't really take a lot of fried food, breakfast usually bread, sometimes just skip, not much time have to rush for work.
As for excerises will try on sunday, because i work 6 days, hardly any time
I don't smoke as for alcohol,rarely drink
In fact my specialist think that maybe my high BP was because of work stress but the point is,life in SIngapore is stressful unless i quit my job and retired.

That's why I strongly urge you to eat oats (instant/ quick-cook).
3 big scoops (Chinese soup spoon) into a bowl.
Just add boiling water to 70% full.
Cover the bowl with a plate and wait 10 to 15 minutes.
Add water to 100% full, and consume at lukewarm.
Fast and easy-to-make breakfast.
Never ever skip breakfast.
Start off the day by having a heavy breakfast.
Have lunch at 70% full.
Have dinner at 30% full. If still hungry, eat oats.
If possible, drink Pu'er/ oolong tea (without sugar) daily.
Why I recommend you this?
My parents have HBP since first known 2 years ago.
And now, their BP is well-maintain with this 1st step in a simple change in diet/ lifestyle.

hi all, new here.
my specialist diagnosed me with right peroneal tendonitis at first. have been going for physio for more than a month with no improvement, and MRI scan showed a tear in the tendon. specialist did PRP injection to my ankle, but said an operation might be required if there is no improvement.
does this affect my PES status? my specialist will be reviewing me again in a week's time.
thanks all

Hi guys!
This is my first post at sgForums!
I've been living in the US for the past 13 or so years, and I got my NS draft notice in the mail a few months back. I've enlisted and all, but since I can't just go strolling over to the CMPB to ask questions, please forgive me if I sound blur.
Now, I'm a pretty big kid, easily falling within the PES Bp status, and I was just wondering about what goes on in BMT for Bp recruits?
please let me know, thanks!

PES BP BMT
As evidence has shown that obese recruits are able to achieve
optimum fitness levels and weight loss in about 19 weeks, the new
BMT programme for recruits with Body Mass Index (BMI) scores
exceeding 27.0 will be 19 weeks. This BMT programme is designed to
help obese recruits improve their physical fitness progressively
while equipping them with basic soldiering skills and
knowledge.

Please consult your camp doctor to review your PES, if you want to.
Presently, the SAF Medical Records IT System is link up to the centralised National Medical Records Database shared by all public hospitals and polyclinics.
Hi, just wondering. I'm PES E9L9 excuse RMJ. I'm expected to still participate in LIFE activities and parades. Is this just based on a camp to camp basis? Like if the estab in the camp is like this, so I need to attend accordingly? Thanks.

Yes, you are required and fit to attend.
Specifically, RMJ is Run, March, Jump.
Even though you are PES E with Excuse RMJ, you can still do some stretching warm-up/ cool-down exercises and you should be able to walk/ stroll (unless you are on wheelchair/ handicapped).
When people run/ jog, you are certified fit to follow them by walking with them or man the water point.

LIFE activites usually is volunteered. I do like playing badmination at my times. Parades it depends. First and last parades are usually there, but there is no real marching involved.

Perhaps, JohJim do need a clearer Pes status. As I am excused for ALL lower limbs activites, including RMJ.
