NS Enlist: On Public Holiday,Book Out Morning,Book In Night?

  Hi guys,

  i am enlisting on 2nd august, 11.45am, pes c9l2. I am wondering if i am able to book out during NDP, as its a national holiday? or will i still be confined for 2 weeks?

  Most probably you'll be allowed to book out. Depending on your luck you might book out the night before or on the day itself.

  Worst comes to worst, they'll simply keep you guys in and give you a off in leau to make one of your weekends longer or if BMTC really cheap-o then they'll just compound it somewhere in your block leave and you won't really know what happened to it.

   

  OR if you're really lucky  they'll let you march in the NDP. By reading your post i get the feeling that you'd make a fine soldier. I can foresee you Hentak Kaki for many many days.

  my friend just went in. heard NDP still confinement.. Enlisting same day as u but different timing

  public holiday will release you on the night or evening of the 8th.. but the 9th evening or night book in..so no parade for you to watch..

  you will surely book out ! no 2 weeks confinement for you, book out on 8th and book in on 9th, but you will have to stay slightly longer the next book in , like about 10 days or so (decision will be made by your OC) thats what that happen to me when i enlisted during hari raya period few years back.

  My friend enlist same day but can't book out. They told the parents only can book out on 15 Aug for a day. Will there be any chance what they told the parents will change?

  if you serve the full confinement period, there is no way you only book out for a day when you finally book out..
