no need toiletries. no time to wash up. I'm the 2nd batch in HRI, POP-ing on 6th August.

Basically enlist, take oath, collect equipments, have lunch, learn how to fold smart 4 or how to properly wear number 3, put crest on beret, your first day will be very much over.. have fun, coz I'm having fun there now. OC and CO are nice ppl so yeah..

Rmb to bring ur IC, water bottle. I won't tell you what you'll be doing there, let you experience it yourself. If you get no.3 uniform, you'll be ASA, no.4, SA. There's also a split between SAF, RSAF and Navy so ya.. have fun haha.. last week will have a test if you're an ASA.. there will be foot drills and marching, but silent ones of course.. if best you know the commands to have a better headstart than others..

and also the ranks..

Admin support assistant (ASA) also known as clerks. Supply assistant (SA) also known as Storeman. My POP on this friday. Yup, silent drills (without stomping of feet) and marching from eg. lecture hall to cookhouse .

As for ranks, you only salute to officers, which are of 2LT and above. Sergeants you don't have to salute. And call ur sergeants 'sergeant' and not sir. Only call the LTs and above, Sir.

POP loh!!! haha.. ASA is more of clerical work. SA is more of store work.

There will be shuttle buses provided to you ppl every morning from yew tee mrt. timing of fall in will be different everyday coz different platoons will take turn being the earliest and latest to fall in.
