Pre-Enlist: Tekong Enhanced BMT vs Direct Unit Mono-Intake

Hi, I'm a pre-enlist, should be enlist next year starting if nothing goes wrong.
I heard from my brother who has been through NS that there are categories depending on the education status apart from the PES. Not sure if it is true.
Meaning that he is worried that I will fall under the wrong section get in the "Hokkien Ping" and suffer throughout my entire NS life. He also said that, unless you be the head or leader, you are pretty much doomed.
From what he told me, he got into the JC batch because he graduated from JC, so his platoons or section mates are mostly or all from JC. He pretty much have a smooth life in there. So I was wondering if what he said is true, as from what I know, there are only PES categories.
Note that I'm still a pre-enlist and have pretty much no idea about NS. Sorry if my question is naive.
I checked the FAQs but to no avail.

Yes thats true, there is a distinct poly batch, and JC batch. The JC batch usually ends up in mono intake, with the hokkien peng.

its certainly true....good edu qualifications have always been one the main pre-requisite for OCS...though there are very few rare exceptions

jc/poly/ and some ITE will more or less go tekong and grouped together with people of the same education lvl..
those mono intake people usually from ITE, sch dropouts or private diplomas etc..

Surpisingly a lot of JC students always end up with ah bengs....
Hokkien peng now still have meh... i tot nowadays ah beng also jiang hua yu one.. their hokkien half past six de.... -
Hmm, I called the NS center already, the person said that, we have the wrong perspective about mono intake, there are also A levels people inside and others. Anyways, thanks people. Closed.

1. most of the ah beng in singapore now is all coward expect for certian gang.
2.if you can persisted yr attitude you will be fine.
3.Singaprore Army is not sooooo siong as last time, so many benefit now.
4.just go in and take is as a hoilday camp and enjoy yr growing process

The Ah Beng are ok. It is the regular PC and SGT that sucks.

Hokkein pengs also nothing much lah...at most you'll be with them for three months, cos most of them will chao keng until out of course and then post out....

Actually when u go NS if u can stand up for urself and be assertive no problem one.
Mono intake,tekong BMT,unit life and reservist.
If u cannot do the above, then u might get bullied lor.
I know one clerk he cannot stand up for himself even the chief clerk bully him. Dowan sign off pass for him to go hospital for his Medical checkup.
In the end never go hosptial for checkup lor.
He PES E clerk.
