USMS is, if I am not wrong, a feedback on how to improve your unit.
So I am totally clueless on what to suggest to improve our training facilities. My CSM said that if we submit crappy ideas they will reject them and we will have to crack out head before we can book out.
Can anyone give me some ideas?
it's your unit u should noe better than us...
USMS is the most retarded thing.
My USMS suggestion to you is to remove USMS. lol. :D
they forced you guys to do that. cause they got quota to meet what.
quota never meet his head can hang. lol.
Think of something that can be improved upon, and think of what might be done to improve it.
Let's say people have slipped and fallen down the stairs before when it was wet. Why not suggest that the steps be lined with heavy-duty grip tape?
Or let's say people have gotten injured in their bunks before, and the medic wasn't around to help. Why not suggest putting a first-aid kit in every bunk?
As was pointed out, you know your own camp the best. Use your noodle.
I heard they pay for any ideas that are accepted. Is it true?
Yes they pay for the ideas. But it is a single digit pay. At the same time they expect you to help save some money for MINDEF.
thanks fudgester, I just need some ideas to lead me in the right frame, yes I know my unit well, but I just do not know where to start. Maybe I need to visit the best/newest camp in Singapore to compare with my unit.
If regulars get paid alot more, then they should do more thinking than the NSFs. Why push their load to the NSFs?
If they get the regulars to think, SAF will collaspe - instant, immediate effect.
single digit rewards are for a acceptable and implement idea. lol if your idea god damn good. double digit. but i have yet to see anyone with double. lols.
anyway regulars also have to do usms, be it nsf or regular, both have to hit the quota for that unit.
The thing is, if I put time and effort to think, and somehow does get approved. Will the CO or COA read it and implement it? How often does a NSF or a small fry's idea get approved and implemented?
Chances are I will probably have ORD long ago.
My friend's unit vehicle shed is quite old and birds have been calling air-strikes in their shed. Guess what? This problem is over 4 years old and MINDEF said it is too expensive to install roof casing to prevent birds from coming in. lol
