how u pluck out the camera...
That aside, as long as your phone have no camera then I don't think it's a problem. Although you might want to clear with your SGT first.
My advice, get a cheap phone and use it instead.
Getting your phone there is one thing, getting reception is another.
Also with the short life of iphone....how u last for a wk?
wonder what happens to the 2 public phones in tekong camp 1....brings back lots of memories...
You want to bring an iphone as a chao recruit to bmt? haha u are a joker...
better to lose a cheap handphone or an expensive one?
you decide
I doubt you have time for your fancy handphone anyway. If it gets lost, good luck to you.
This must be the 278,294,904th thread on handphones in camp.....
I can cut and paste my response by now:
Just buy a cheap $60-$70 phone at 7-Eleven, and use that phone in camp.
lol... handphone jus use cheapo one lah
btw, as long as the phone is a model that comes with a camera, it is banned even if you have the camera removed.
bring expensive phone to NS for what? just get a cheap phone lah
no time to use also la, and besides no chargers allowed so how long can your phone last..

Now under each block (2 companies together), there will be 2 public phones.
Bring cheap phones with stand by batteries.
If able to sms, at elast you can sms to your gf and family members.
To keep in contact.
Shouldnt be a problem.
But is there a rule stating mobil cannot be bring in the camp?

Yeah, chargers are banned at BMTC.
Besides, el cheapo $60-$70 phones tend to have longer-lasting batteries due to their lower power requirements. They are also usually more durable.
Not to mention they have a lower chance of getting stolen.

Agreed.
At least get stolen, you wont feel the pain.
with a question like that, for the sake of humanity, i recommend that the TS never ever even think of breeding...
And if one of you loses your phone, the whole company got to stay back and stand by universe in the parade square, no one wants that to happen.

oic...I thought that if the boy lost the mobile, better keep quiet and forget about it.
go army, your phone should be there for you to call your family/gf or sms them, pls forget about all those game apps etc that a smartphone will allow you to, it drains your battery too much..
i even needed 2 batteries for my old old nokia black and white kinda phone during bmt, cause talking eats up the batt damn fast.
buy this... best.... No 1 for shock proof !! 100% no cam...

A new directive came out recently banning phones with cameras removed from SAF camps. The only reason why they allowed phones with cameras removed before was because when they announced the camera phone ban a few years back, there were some servicemen who had existing contracts with camera phones, so they were allowed to retain their phones but had to have their camera removed. Now that more then 2 years are over, their 2 year plan is over and so they have to go and look for a new phone without a camera.
