Hi, was curious abt seeing some TV channels showing USA, UK, even Malaysia veteren/ retirees wearing military awards on civilian clothes for gatherings of a military theme. It was stated in one of the US websites that veterans and retirees are encouraged to wear their awards and medals. Veterans don't need to wear their medals only if they're in a parade. "Wear them when you go play golf. Wear them when you go to the store. Let America know that you took that oath and served."
Does MINDEF approve NSmen/ retirees wearing military awards on civilian clothes for gatherings of a military theme locally & in other foreign countries? If I am invited for foreign military theme, should I approach MINDEF for approval?
hmmm... imagine what it'll be like if you see someone on the orchard road wearing his school sportsday medal.
was thinking if got invited for foreign military event with some generals, can put on my badges there on my coat, then can talk things smoother.
For fark.
ditzy, u handle diplomatic issues?
No. Should I?
So what awards or medals you have gained so far? Is it of importance? Combatant medals?
you want to wear the cigarette butt and the colour television on your shirt to work?
i think everyone shouldnt wear underwear at all in this case.
