Years ago, the food was cooked by other NSFs, and now the food is made by external vendors right? Also, do the NSFs drink milk at camp?
Good? Only good food is on navy ships cos the cook 1) has gone through special training to cook for officers and sometimes foreign officers 2) is an enlistee and subject to being punished 3) will be eating it himself.
No milk or cow products in any cookhouse, cos the buddhists and hindus don't eat them.
You mean they cook good food or not?

Milk need to be bought at canteen. They may give it out along with night snacks during your BMT period though. At cookhouse, the standard is syrup water, though you will have horlick and such during breakfast time.
let this old timer tell you that it's better than the swill we used to get in the cookhouses...
you guys are dead lucky to have actual edible food instead of the crap we had to eat... where noodles shattered when you dropped, where the mystery meat which we chewed very hard on was actually fish.. where stray dogs refused to eat the stuff we threw at them..
NTUC Food Fare is better than SFI.
Sometimes the cordial drinks either mix barley and lychee or pineapple and orange. sometime also no sweet taste.
Each meal cost $5, sure or not?
