Hi i recently OOTed for pneumonia from PTP n mo ask me to rest for 6 months before going for recourse. Do i still have to go through pes b PTP again?? Plus im retaking my A levels as private candidate this november(although i heard november intake is for the enhanced batch, which means the PTP batch starts in september), which is also 6 months from now.. Is it possible for me to remain longer than 6 months at my unit before going for the recourse?
Yes and no. Let's go with yes first.
Yes you can remain longer than 6 months IF you fail your FFI (don't ask me what that is, go find out for yourself) or have an MC that spans into the start of your recourse (hence not allowing you to recourse and you'll recourse at the next intake). Or, you can TRY downgrading to a pes E and hence do not go for a recourse. Note: I am not encouraging you to keng for an MC or anything. I bear no responsibility for that.
No you can't because it's almost IMPOSSIBLE to fail your FFI again. You will have to recourse no matter what. It's just a matter of when. Even if you run away from BMT in NS, you'll have to complete it in reservist. No joke bro.
Before you go back to BMT recourse there's a FFI to determine your suitability.
I have a friends who failed his FFI until he orded due to skin illnesses.
He did not go back to Tekong for recourse.
I don't think in his reservist he needs to recourse for BMT.
What if the 6 months rest ended but there is no ptp batch?(lets assume the ptp batch only starts in december.)Do i get to continue to stay at my unit for 1 extra month?Anw thanks!

They can always ask you back to do sai kang till you can join a batch once your MC is over.

Btw if, I were you, I would want to go BMT as soon as possible because now, cannot complete BMT, you'll be recruit forever until you complete BMT, no rank = no increment in allowance.

The increment of pay not alot too.
I got friends who failed his FFI until he orded.
My frenz skin condition made him unfit for recourse until ORD date.
He OOC due to skin condition too.
He told me since he alway unfit for BMT recourse why dont MO downpes him to PES E rather than C9L9.
He C9L9.
He recruit until he orded.
He reservist also no need go for BMT recourse as there's no such thing as BMT recourse for reservists.

NS pay almost all spent on other things.
I asked my relatives and friends all said they never manage to save any money in NS.
Unless they are officer which got more pay.
