Ask that young fella to stop serving her queen's navy and join my crew. I see alot of potential in him.
Why did he do that? Because he just learnt that his batch will not get the iPad?
Only one thing to do now:
if all else fails, he can represent SG in the next SEA Games for swimming.
Actually, when you think about it, it may not be so much the fault of the person himself, but the environment he was brought up in.
He could have been brought up in a sheltered, comfortable environment where he lacked nothing. Every day he would go home to have his maid cook his food and make his bed. He would sleep in an air-conditioned room and play with the latest game consoles. He would go to a top school and be the star student where all the teachers love and praise him, and he would be the darling of his chess club CCA or something to that effect.
Then he goes to BMTC without knowing what to expect, and gets thrown into an alien world where he has to stand by bed, shine his own shoes, and have his sergeants shout 'CCB' and 'KNN' in his face at every chance they get.
Someone in those circumstances may just crack if he doesn't have the mental fortitude to deal with adversity to begin with.
Goes to show that you really should not pamper your children too much lest they are not prepared for the kind of difficulties that every Tom, Dick and Harry are expected to face.
Much, much respect for this guy.
get tt man a tiger!~
after this, RI has decided to scrape swimming from their PE lessons
bcos their boys become too good at it.
He can join the navy after this incident
Navy also never asked people to swim in the sea.
oni dive in river and reservoir find parts of bodies.
Wah... last time I heard someone do that is when those desperate illegal immigrants try to swim from JB.
the ones in charge of security will be dragged into the water (no pun intended) as well?

Yes, that might be a possibility, but being brought up in a privileged envorinment doesn't give you an excuse to be a gu niang.

Not trying to excuse him for being a gu niang.
I'm just saying that he was probably brought up to be a gu niang, and he didn't have the foresight to see that he really ought to do something about it.
well at least we know he can swim and maybe his maid was swimming behind with carrying his underwear.
Kinda reminds me of my RSN NSF fellow crew who, after getting scolded (no bad words involved) by my ops officer, suddenly ran towards the fencing and screamed: I WANNA JUMP....and then had to be restrained before he really did so.
My ops officer, after getting over the initial shock, and making sure he's fine....did a facepalm....but out of his sight, since he now had to do an incident report.
He training to join aviva ironman lah.
