Upon going to TBCU in Tan Tock Seng and undergoing various tests there, it seems that I might have contracted Pulmonary Tuberculosis. X-Ray seems to show possible Tuberculosis infection and my Mantoux Test has been positive for low risk cases (15mm) as of now.
As of now, I'm curious and slightly anxious as to what my remaining NS service term will be like. Mainly because a friend from my unit told me they'll down pes me to Pes F... Which I don't wish to happen because of a variety of reasons (e.g. Pes F discrimination e.g.) and also because I'm already close to a year into my service... which all the more makes it worse (its a waste of my existing service term) if I were to be discharged.
Just asking because I want to know what my options are and what are the appropriate actions to take if above mentioned scenario takes place.
You dont need to think or do anything other than clearing your TB now.
It hasn't been confirmed yet. Sputum tests (which are the most definite way of determining the disease) take up to Six Weeks for official confirmation. Up till then I'm kinda tearing my hair out, because everything seems so uncertain.
You just relax. TB is very popular nowadays. You are just being more fashionable than others. So no worries!
As a obedient soldier, you do what you are told. See how the officers arranged you. They pull the shoots not you, so no worries!
It is up to the doctors to diagnosis and cure you, so no worries!
If you got TB you got downgraded and ROD early. So congratz!
If you dont have TB you rest for two weeks and get well. So congratz!
