I am an Infantry officer who was posted to BMTC as a platoon commander during my NSF days. After that, I continued to persue further studies.
Till date, I have not been called back to my NS unit. All I know I am in the holding list of 6 Div.
Recently, I am notified to attend this Combat Intelligence Officers Course at Pasir Laba Camp. I have no idea what is it all about. Is there anyone out there in the same shoe as me or have been through similiar scenario as me? I don't know what to expect during the 3 weeks course. To make things worse, it falls during Chinese New Year.
Nervous yet excited.

But during reservist was ever selected to cross trained as a section commander..ICT 3 weeks, went back was in shock... the reservist was attached to NSF trainee during their final phase in the course...

local promote, for us. They dont even give us the stripe.. only your appointment is promoted... only after the course you get the stripe.. that my time...
I have a fren even when for a 40days ICT to be promoted to officer..
but then as a reservist doubt many really enjoy 40days stay-in ICT and treated like an OCT hahahahaha
I hope I still can book out during the weekends.
As the course says it, Combat Intelligence Officer Course. I am kind of worried what kind of training will I be receving for that 3 weeks. Recce? Scout? S3?

Why the word "combat"?
I read in Army News about thne Skyblade mini UAV that is manpacked by 3-man teams. They come under intel. Maybe you are one of these, I don't think they will let a reservist be any other kind of intel officer.
They need someone expendable enough to hump it and command the other 2 guys in the jungle, yet responsible enough to fly it without damaging it or other property.
I hope so. if not I will be S3 or DY S3.
Which you prefer? I would like a chance to be either.
I have no idea. I prefer something on the ground, rather than office work.
i kena Basic Intelligence Officer course from apr 2012 instead. nv heard of combat intel leh.
