Hi guys, I OOT BMT not long back, I was pes B, now downgrade to C2 cause of a leg injury. But I really wanna go OCS. Do you think they will let me go if I tell them I wanna extend my ORD? I heard that if I extend my ORD for more than 6 months I will get regular pay. I am thinking of extending for 9 months.
Another option is I sign on then break the bond and repay back what I owe them but I'm not sure how this works. Can I just keep the sign on bounty in the bank or a very safe investment then pay them back after like 3 years? Or is there a penalty clause? Opinions are very much appreciated.
Oh btw I just got posted to Bedok camp as a storeman with the guards. If I indicate I wanna sign on as a guards officer will they let me do guards BMT?
To get regular pay you must be a regular.
To break bond, you must serve the balance of your liability after that. 2 days as a regular counts as 1 day of a NSF, ie you must serve at least 4 years to not serve as an NSF.
To go to OCS your BMT performance must qualify you.
