I had completed 6 sessions of RT training so far and I have to say that the PTI did their best to help us pass our IPPT. However, due to time constraint, I have to book RT 3 times a week and that means I have to undergo training once every 2 days leaving just 1 rest day after every session.
I go to MAJU FCC for my RT. The RT group is huge and therefore, they always divide us into 2 or 3 groups according to the colour of our number tags. Sets of chin-ups and running is compulsory for every session and I have something negative to say about that! My muscles usually my Lats are often sore after every session and those muscles barely have time to recover before I am told to do more sets of chin-ups in the following sessions. As a result, the number of chin-ups I can do have been decreasing. I can do 8 chin-ups as usual but for the next session, I can only complete 4 chin-ups and the next is even worse, only 2 chin-ups. Even my usual RT mate wonders what is wrong with me! The reason is obvious! My muscles are still sore and have not recovered. I am approaching my 8 th RT session now which is my RT-IPPT and I am worried that it will affect my performance for my IPPT!(able to pass chin-ups to fail!) I am starting to feel like I had overworked my muscles.
Haven't the PTI taken took note of this? They should instead divide the training groups according to different aspects of training. For example, 1 particular group will focus on training for stastic stations and the other group on running to allow NS men to recover their muscles.
How can I excuse myself from doing anymore chin-ups if my muscles are still sore from previous RT training? PTIs should listen to NS men! We know our bodies better!
