  An army medic, who drove his car into a tree last May, went to the aid of his two passengers despite being injured himself. Front-seat passenger Tan Wee Peng, 21, had no pulse and could not be resuscitated. He died soon after. Back-seat passenger Tan Kiok Wee, 31, sustained facial and chest injuries and has since recovered.

  On the night of May 3, 2011, the three men, all regulars with the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF), were on their way to Nee Soon camp after having dinner in Johor Baru. Goh holds the rank of staff-sergeant while his two friends were corporals.

  A district court heard that Goh, 30, is now providing emotional and financial support to his dead friend's girlfriend and her one-year-old child.

  please lah - you wrote it like they died while on duty and in army vehicle. go JB eat drink and cum back drive private car and as civilian died no glory 1

  Rest in peace for the poor chap, but don't expect Mindef to give you..

  

  Anyway is possible to be corporal regardless of age even if you are regulars.

  the nes should just report 3 man go eat, probably drinks some and had an accident.

  got lah-  still trainee corporal lor - thos higher educated ones. otehrwise lower edcucated one just join got coporal. but that one 31 yo still cooral i think may be a little problematic ones?

  for logistcis and transport their CO iever saw before - only lietenant can already.

  that time that lietanent still very prooud with the tougua badges long service award we were still trainee but later go back our own higher end units is nothing lah.

  when we were trainees before attached to SOT for learning driving we already seeing many colonels and stars already during exercise - and mixed around with lots of reservists already
