Good afternoon everybody. I have a burning question which i would like to ask most seniors over here.
I am going to undergo a Jaw Surgery for my teeth on the May 28. I ORD on 4th of June. Prior to ORD, all of us know that it is compulsory for all NSFs to go for their Dental FFI and bloodtest. My concern over here is, if i were to complete my Dental FFI ahead prior before my Jaw surgery date on the May 28th, would i still be able to claim the subsidized hospitalisation and medical benefits provided by SAF? The surgery itself costs about $6000 to $7000,
so long as you do it before your official ORD date.
i think must declare during FFI. Otherwise you sign blindly there maybe some liability
If your Jaw Surgery is cosmetic, you cannot claim under SAF subisidy.
If your Jaw Surgey is due to an injury in the SAF, your dental FFI will only be cleared after you have completely recovered. The idea of the SAF FFI is to check that you had not lose any teeth or tooth decay, during your NS. So that you cannot sue SAF for assisting you to lose a teeth.
