RIP: Regular 2SG Suresh Seluras 5 May 2012 - Hang on Rope

SINGAPORE: An off-duty military policeman was found hanging from a rope in Changi Airbase on Saturday morning.
A statement from the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) said 24-year-old 2nd Sergeant (2SG) Suresh Seluras from 608 Squadron was found stiff, unconscious and without pulse.
An SAF ambulance with a medic attended to the regular serviceman immediately at 9.35am and started resuscitation efforts.
He was sent via ambulance to Changi General Hospital (CGH) at 10.25 am.
The medic continued to resuscitate him en route to the hospital.
The ambulance arrived at CGH 15 minutes later at 10.40am, and 2SG Suresh was pronounced dead at 10.53am.
MINDEF and SAF extend their deepest condolences to the family of the late 2SG Suresh.
SAF is assisting the family in their time of grief and is investigating the incident.
A police investigation will be conducted.

I heard this news. It's quite upsetting to hear suicide cases. I guess the investigation is to see the reason why he committed suicide. If it's due to military stress issue, that's why it's important to plan carefully before signing up as regular. It's life commitment. Once sign-on, there's no way leave due to contract and stuff.

Well we don't know is it work stress.....anyway I know one guy in CAB never like to go home. I heard from his men, even wkend he ocassionally come back to camp on wken, perhaps home more stressful for him?

This man did not commit suicide. I know his GF. He was known to be a happy guy an had no problems with anyone whatsoever. He had too much good going for him to do such an act like ending his own life. What was not reported is that this man was actually found with his hands and feet bound. If you wanted to hang yourself, would it make sense to tie your limbs up? He also had bruises on his body, so what? He beat himself up with his own hands then decide to kill himself?

yes. he was found with hands and feet bound. clear cut can't be suicide. frm last i heard, sib and police investigations still ongoing.too many fishy details surrounding his death.

I suggest you guys not speculate and spread rumors...whatever, wherever you hear from. Because nobody can verify if it is true and it will only add more troubles/sorrow to innocent persons.
All these 'hear from who...hear from who...' - if SIB comes and ask you, what do you say? 'oh sorry, i forgot who told me....errr my this friend , that friend say...hear from their father's mother's friend's son...'
Let SIB do their job and they will investigate.
In any case, it would be stupid to commit murder in a SAF camp...

Its a disgrace to the Military Air Force, (esp to Changi Air Base). Such things can take place inside the camp !! This is so disgraceful !! An explanation should be given to the family by mindef. As for the Culprits who did that to Suresh, I KNOW YOU GUYS ARE STILL HANGING OUTSIDE. MOTHER F%CK#RS!!! YOUR DAYS ARE BEING NUMBERED!!! U GUYS WATCH OUT...... F%CK#RS!!!!!
